Sputnik manages media and communications for the New Zealand China Council, an organisation of leading New Zealanders from across the public and private sectors that engage with China.  

We help the Council encourage balanced and fact based debate about the relationship by generating considered media coverage, compiling statistics and insights and producing in depth reports.  

Sputnik also manages the annual New Zealand China Media Awards, which recognises excellence in reporting on the New Zealand China relationship by domestic media.  These awards are strongly contested by some of New Zealand’s most experienced journalists and continue to grow in popularity every year.
